eat / drink / take
|---|---|---|
| eat | 固形物を食べる、スプーンでスープを飲む | I eat soup with a spoon.(スープをスプーンで飲む) |
| take | 薬・サプリを飲む | Take this medicine after meals.(食後にこの薬を飲んでください) |
| have | 食事全般(eat / drink のやわらかい言い方) | We had lunch together.(一緒に昼食をとった) |
✕ I drink medicine three times a day.
○ I take medicine three times a day.
spend / use / take
|---|---|---|
| spend | (人が)時間・お金を費やす | I spent three hours on my homework.(宿題に3時間使った) |
| take | (物事に)時間がかかる | It takes 30 minutes to get to school.(学校まで30分かかる) |
| use | 道具・物・手段を使う | I use my phone to study English.(スマホを使って英語を勉強している) |
✕ I used a lot of time playing games.

make / do
|---|---|---|
| make | 生み出す、作り出す | make a mistake / make a decision / make a plan / make a noise / make friends |
| do | 作業・義務をこなす | do homework / do the dishes / do one's best / do research / do exercise |

|---|---|---|---|
| discuss | 〜について話し合う | discuss about the problem | discuss the problem |
| enter | 〜に入る | enter into the room | enter the room |
